Paleo – Day 17 – recap

General well-being

Sleep: 8.5 hours. We spent the first night at our private cabin in Pacific Grove, close to where we’ll be running the Big Sur half marathon tomorrow. Amazing sleep last night. It felt so wonderful to enjoy some peace and quiet and not be woken up by people slamming doors or stomping around in the youth hostel. I felt super rested this morning

Binging: none

Skin: great in the morning. Little spot appearing throughout the day

Today

Breakfast: two eggs with bell peppers and fresh fruit (strawberry, blueberries and banana) – I was kinda hungry. So nice not having to live off a fruit and nut bar

Lunch: leftover steak and salad from yesterday. Another banana and a fruit – nut bar. I’ve certainly been eating too much of those on this trip, but they’re paleo and easy to come by. However, the amount of fiber from the bars is starting to give me issues

Dinner: Chicken sausage, butternut squash and cooked veggies (green beans, broccoli and carrots), an apple

Drinks: ca. 2.5 liters of water and tea

Feeling: generally feeling great. It felt good to have a little more control over what I eat because we now have a fridge and the chance to cook ourselves. Today’s been a little carb-heavy, but since we’re running the Big Sur half tomorrow, this is what I had planned for. Slight stomach issues throughout the day

Rest day, with a bit of walking along the beach
